Sandy limestone

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Lies conformably on the dat+monta limestones (Karachadalyssay) or with erosion on various horizons of the Upper Cretaceous. Schematic stratigraphic column indicates the lower contact as Beshtobin Fm

Upper contact

It is overlain conformably by the Sugralin Fm.

Regional extent

Pre-Aral, foothills of the Sultanuizdag Range. Correlated with the Kazakhtau Fm of the Kyzylkum (Abdusamatov et al., 1995f.).
